My vision stems from the commandment from God to the Jewish people to be a holy nation: "And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation." (Exodus19:6). I believe that everything we do in our lives should come from that commandment. Being holy, or chosen, does not mean that the Jewish people deserve extra rights or elevated status, but holiness is the task we are chosen to pursue. It is the commitment, the point from which all action stems. I believe that Zionism offers the possibility to realize this holiness in all aspects of human existence, in the way we relate to our society, economy, education, environment, and our relationship to the other.
